Gracious God,
we thank you for the great gift of our Mother.
We thank you for the unconditional nature of our Mother’s love;
a love that nurtures us at every stage of life;
a love that forgives, heals, and reassures;
a love permeated with gentleness and profound care;
a love so powerful and beautiful.
On this Mother’s Day,
we pray your blessing on all Mothers.
Give them strength and peace.
May they know how much they are loved and appreciated.
For all Mothers who have gone before us in faith,
number them among the Communion of Saints in your presence.
May they live the fullness of Risen Life in your eternal care.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
