Second Sunday of Easter

Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe. Jn. 20:29

Prayer

Lord, Thomas doubted your resurrection, but you did not condemn him for his doubt, but opened his eyes and his heart to your risen presence.

He proclaimed, “My Lord and My God”, and spent his life in your service.

Lord, help us in our moments of doubt.

Reassure us in our faith and give us the courage to humbly place our gifts at your service and the service of your people.

We remember and give thanks for people throughout the world who dedicate their lives to the care of others.

May their example inspire us to see your face in the face of all people.

Help us to understand that we are among those who have not seen and yet believe.

Increase our faith and give us the grace to follow you in word and action.

Amen.
